| I purchased the Vizio sound bar thru Amazon and [...]. It arrived non working. It took 8 days to finally get a number to return this item. The people I dealt with were nice enough, just the process to get a return was lengthy. When the new sound bar arrived it was working, however, there was a large crack in the plastic where everyone could see it and a fairly large scrape, like this item was either a refurbished item or it went thru a small war. The remote included for the sound bar works when it feels like it. I turned the volume up and had to finally turn the tv off as I could not reduce the sound. I also saw that this item was for sale at Wal-Mart a few dollars higher. I think next time I will just buy from there as the few extra dollars will more than compensate for the frustration I had in exchanging this item. |
It's better than the TV audio.

I was initially impressed with this sound bar when I listened to it in Walmart. But at home it is not nearly as impressive, however it is somewhat better than the tinny sound the TV puts out. I won't get another sound bar when this one no longer works, but will go with surround sound instead.
Maybe it'll sound better if I set it up so it sits behind me instead of directly in front of the TV. Hmmm... |

| I was getting Cable Installed & I couldn't stand the Sound on my "Vizio TV" so I got the Vizio Sound Bar in hopes it would help the sound or I'd end up using a Very Old School TV,so I get it & goto set it up as I thought it should be a breeze as it's a Speaker that's amplified & comes -w- very few parts,I didn't get the Optical Wire because the box didn't say it needed one & it did come -w- a A/V Red & White Wire like I needed anymore of those anyway I plugged in the wires & looked briefly over the instructions & I couldn't get the speaker to work after a few tries & different ports on my Tv & still nothing,the speaker did work through my Xbox but not the TV after awhile & frustration I Quit for the night & bought an optical wire the next day & that didn't work either and I had forgot I read U need to REMOVE the Tiny Rubber covers on the Optical wire that was a start but that still wasn't the answer & I was prepared to return the sound bar by then,I Re-read the Instructions,TV manual & Lil info was there,so I was sitting & messing -w- my remote & found a setting on my setting screen on my TV to my Tuner Settings & changed my Analog setting & HELLO I Finally Got It Working & I wondered Why Vizio hadn't been more clear on set up Instructions esp after I wasted enough time on it,so I'm Not sure the Optical wire was needed or not but I'm going to leave it alone,the sound went from an awful sound to a much better sound -w- some Bass,the only thing now is I need to find mounting screws that I didn't find in the box to hold the weight & find somewhere to mount a 3'4" Speaker but for now I'm just enjoying cable tv & decent sound... |

| Picked this up at Costco for $89 for use in the bedroom for Sony LCD HDTV. Surround sound coming out of the sound bar is far superior to the TV speakers, and it even has a subwoofer RCA plug. |

| Wow very nice Soundbar from Vizio. Got one of these things a couple weeks ago at Walmart. Yeah been very pleased with it. Have my HD DVD player hooked to it. Watched a few movies on it.The audio coming out of The soundbar is nice and crisp. Very nice product from Vizio.And you cant beat the price. Thoe my only negative complaint I have it would of been nice if Vizio had put 2 optical inputs on the soundbar instead of one.And even a Coaxial input.I meen gush how many people have a boat load of stuff hooked to there TV sets? I know I have a lot of things hooked to my TV set. Yeah the bar does have a stereo input jack.But I have yet hooked anything to that yet. I like to stick with the optical input on my soundbar. |
