From the #1 Brand in Loudspeakers comes Cinema 110 CT 5.1 Compact Theater Surround Sound System for music, home theater and computer gaming. 3 Cinema LCR speakers, 2 Cinema ADP surrounds boasting Paradigm’s ADP (Adapted Dipole) technology for extraordinary surround performance (visit www.paradigm.com for more info on ADP technology) and a powerful subwoofer with 10˝ driver. Wall brackets for mounting speakers included. Paradigm CT systems deliver Performance and Value like no conventional Home Theater in a Box (HTiB) system can! Buyer beware: Typical HTiB systems are all about price, not sound. Or even worse, expensive marketing hype and still not sound. When it comes to sound quality, those other systems simply cannot deliver. Paradigm Cinema CT’s are all about performance. They deliver 5.1 audiophile-quality sound without sacrificing lifestyle size, good looks or a great price. They’re every bit affordable as those other HTiB systems, but when it comes to performance, they leave conventional HTiB stuck in the box! Cinema CT systems integrate beautifully, delivering a seamless soundstage that brings movies and gaming to life and makes music sound “live.” Price/Value in Inside Track Annual Dealer Survey, an annual independent nationwide survey of consumer electronics specialist retailers and custom installers. Left in the rain with a subwoofer problem

I wish I could give a better review because initially I thought everything was peachy but I never used anything that tests the woofer before. So I found out that unfortunately the subwoofer of my silver color set of the Paradigm Cinema 110 CT 5.1 Home Theater Surround Sound System produces howling/whistling sounds, similar to strong wind through cracks in an old wood cabin.
Asked Paradigm - who send me to my "dealer".
Now my "dealer" Amazon offers to return the item and refund it, then I could re-buy - but I would lose the price I paid (499) and promotional funds I used (100)... overall I might lose 650$ doing that.(Which would not even work easily since the speakers are thoroughly installed and have matching speaker stands now)
Amazon is unwilling to send a "black" woofer as a replacement for the "silver" woofer and say they do not have a silver woofer.
Amazon now talks about that I should go to my local service center but they are not making any statement about them being an authorized Paradigm dealer or not, and they also do not say which service center I should use and ignore repeated questions about the necessary process (likely their call center agents in India do not bother to find out).
What could have been a great thing turns out to be a sound quality and customer service nightmare.
This has been dragging on for a while now. |
Think twice before buying from Amazon

| I purchased, on sale for $499, the Cinema 110 CT in silver. As soon as I opened the box, I noticed one of the wall-mount brackets was missing. I sent an e-mail to Amazon to notify them and request one to be sent to me. I continued to unpack and get the speakers out, and when I was pulling out the sub I noticed something rattling. It turns out that one of the "legs" (stand-offs) was completely broken off and rattling in the plastic bag. I sent another e-mail to Amazon to report that and asked for a replacement. The responses I received from Amazon was that they don't have the model in stock, so I could either keep it and get 15% off (response to 1st e-mail), $50 off (response to 2nd e-mail), or return it for refund. I actually want to keep the set, just not with a broken piece. Since the black version is available I figured to call Amazon's customer service and ask if they would replace my set with a black one considering it's pretty much "like-for-like". You can guess from the title the answer I got was a "no." Since I purchased the silver ones on sale they can't replace them with the black ones even though they are exactly the same. The problem is not that something was damaged or missing. Quite frankly I think Paradigm shipped the set out that way since there's no visible sign of damage bad enough that could have done the damage. The box didn't look like it had been opened, so the bracket must have been missing from the factory. What Amazon has failed is to do the simple, right thing and deliver the customer service it promises. I'm sure Amazon can either get a sub from Paradigm for replacement or replace mine with the black ones and send mine back to Paradigm for credit. But why bother, right? I already bought the receiver, speaker wire, connectors and ceiling mounts to go with the speakers. Why bother giving me, a customer, service. My advise is to think TWICE before you THINK TWICE about buying anything worth more than a couple of hundred dollars. If you do after all the thinking then just pray that it shows up in perfect condition. Otherwise you may end up with lots of frustration and phone time with customer service agents who can't really do anything for you. |
Amazing sound for the price

| To start off by no means am I a Sound geru. I just wanted a better sounding system in my living room for movies I had a bose lifesyle system prior to this and it was just a waste of money. So I shopped a round at the local stores. With price as a consideration I decided to go the the ct110 theather speakers they are small yet put out termendous sound. The subwoofer works good and trys to make up for having smaller speakers for the most part it does it's job quit well. This speakers work well in a mid to small rooms. I would deff buy them agian IM running a marantz sr5004 reciver and am getting rich warm sound. Over all they look nice, just the right size. and for being one of paradigms budget lower line products they produce amazing sound. Probley can easly compair this to higher end jvc, polk, dennon, etc. I have less invested in this system with reciever and blueray player then I have in my lifestyle system wich is my bedroom now. The sound diff is incredible. Dont be fooled by what you hear in the stores with bose. I swear to you it will not sound that good in your home. The paradigm speakers make watching movies at home fun agian. I hope this helps. But please dont take my word for it. please research your speaker choice before buying them. I did and found nothing but good reviews for this speakers all over the internet. AAA++++ product thanks Paradigm. |
