Product Description |
| Built around a solid and well-specified receiver, the HT-S7200 has earned its place at the top of Onkyo’s 2009 range of receiver/speaker packages. With five HDMI™ 1.3a inputs, the receiver is fully equipped to handle multiple sources carrying high-def 1080p video and HD audio from Dolby and DTS. The system also handles Dolby Pro Logic IIz, which adds a spacious new vertical dimension to movie and game soundtracks. Connected component- or composite-video sources can be upscaled to 1080i and deinterlaced via Faroudja DCDi Edge™ to eliminate unwanted artifacts. Meanwhile, sophisticated Audyssey technologies work to optimize volume levels and adjust the sound stage to suit your room’s acoustics. Further convenience is provided by a Universal Port, which enables one-cable connection of the included Dock for the iPod or Onkyo’s optional HD Radio™ tuner. The highlight of the well-balanced speaker package is a pair of floor-standing, dual-drive tallboys that deliver a fuller mid-range while making a sleek visual statement. |

| As soon as I got it, it didn't work. Called around and finally had to put it in the shop. The amp protector would not re-set. I have been waiting on it for 2 weeks now to be fixed! Looks like a nice system but stuff like this always happens to me. That's why I don'y buy anything. They get their money but we have to do all the work and worries when the product arrives. |

Great Sound

I'm not sure how I was listening to music and watching movies without this great sound system. I absolutely love it! My wife doesn't, since all my family members will be in our house watching major events. Setting up the surround was a breeze. I love having 5 HDMI inputs. My family room was pre-wired which was great. I installed the ceiling mount, I was up and running in no time.
I strongly recommended using the Audyssey EQ to make the sound adjustment. For cleaner setup, get the banana plugs. Makes things look nicer in the back of the receiver and easier to move around.
I still can't figure out how the iPod dock works. I think I need to contact Onkyo. Make your life sounds better with only $600 with free shipping, what more can you ask for.
BTW, if you live in a condo or appt. not sure how you will have this system. the sound is strong and amazing. Next door neighbor will not be happy. |

Lots of Features

| The unit has a lot of inputs to go with all your toys. 5 HDMI / Component/ 2 Optical audio inputs and more. This gives you optimum flexibility when configuring your system. The sound is good but it does take some tweaking to get it just right. I ran the setup but found it needed some adjusting to get it where I like it. The sub is rather large but a bit on the loose/rubblely side rather than a tight sound. The unit does heat up quite a bit even when using it at lower levels. Overall the system works well and can bring your movies to cinema like experience. |
