Best buy for Value

Best buy for the dollar. If your looking for a 5.1 system for your computer that sounds good for a good price this is it. If you love bass than you will love this system, however of you don't like heavy bass you'll also like it because you have full control over the sub from the control pod. Features are pretty good you can connect multiple devices and its quick and easy to change between them with the remote. Mounting the speakers on the wall is pretty easy but they only pivot 1 way so it may be hard to get the speaker the direction you want it. Overall the speakers sound great and look good. Best Bang for the Buck.
Kinda disappointed after saving up for 3 years to buy this

Ohhh Man...... i've been saving up for 3 years on this system and i'm kinda disappointed. I upgraded from my old Creative Labs Inspire 5200 with the additional Dolby digital converter box (speakers were analog and didn't have optical connectors). I had that sound system perfectly adjusted because it let me configure it very well. This Logitech system only gives you 4 choices of effects: Stereo, Stereo x2, Dolby PLII Movie and Dolby PLII Music. You can adjust the volume of the subwoofer, center and surround but you cannot adjust Treble, bass or mid-tones. WHAT? for 300 bucks you can't adjust anything?

The speakers are a little on the big side and don't fit well on a small desk. The subwoofer is CRAZY BIG, I don't see why it has to be so huge. Its bigger than my TV surround system. The control box is also a bit big for what it needs to be too. It has a tilt on it that you cannot adjust so its designed to look down on not have it on a shelf cause it points up slightly. Also the lcd screen looks too dim (another thing that cannot be adjusted).

Because you cannot tinker with the sound settings you are stuck with the presets and or what the dvd has on it. On the plus side this system is LOUD and i mean LOUD. There is serious power behind it and I think that is what this is really made for. I don't recommend it for a computer if all you listen to is music. If you are a gamer and watch dvds/movies then yes, this will be good for you. For me, I listen mostly to my music and it falls short because of the limited settings/adjustments.
Wow! Am I in a Theatre or what?

I originally purchased this system for use with my computer for gaming and iTunes... I loved it so much I went out and bought another system for my HD TV setup. I couldn't be happier!

Great desktop speakers. Perfect for gaming, above satisfactory for music. If you're looking for just music speakers then there may be a better set out there for around the same price. The subwoofer is definitely loud, but for music I've heard a better sounding woofer before.
AMAZING SOUND!!

I bought this system for a gaming racing chair setup and connected it to a Playstation 3 using a digital optical cable. When I first setup my game chair, steering wheel/pedals, TV and Playstation 3 to test everything, I only used the TV speakers (not very good). My gaming race chair setup came to life once I installed the Z-5500!! This system is better than my $1000+ Sony Home Theater system.
