I bought a RV In 2008 that had a coby surround sound it and for the most part am very pleased with it. But this particular Coby home theater system is not half as good as the one I already have. I've always said you pay for what you get and that couldnt be more true for this product. I am EXTREMELY disatisfied! My 26" vizio tv is louder than when I turn the coby ALL the way up. And I had to take the screen off the sub to and feel the speaker just to know that it is working! No air blows out of the port or anything, and again what do expect for [...] bucks? Everything else about I do like. Just the sound quality really stinks!

My disappointment with this product was so great that I almost cried with anger.
When hosted the merchandise, I thought it was great quality, but to mount and continue the use of the first field again, comes the disappointment ...
Only 2 channels working, tried very hard to make the other caxas worked, but it was just waste of time.
I do not advise anyone to buy this product because anger have a big headache.
I sent email to the central service and support, but two weeks passed and I did not return.
I do not know what I do.

Was difficult to configure to make it work with my laptop/ipod for 2 channel output. Apart from that, configuration was walk in the park....

This is with out a doubt one piece of useless junk, DVD tray is so flimsy I am surprised it will hold a DVD disk. When playing a DVD movie the picture has a green tint and was unable to adjust the picture color using the TV Picture control. The Am/FM radio is barely acceptable. Maybe I just got a lemon but I have never been so dissatisfied with a product. Going to spend more and buy a name brand unit.

IT IS A GOOD ITEM BUT WE HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE FINDING OUT WHERE TO PLUG ALL THE WIRES, BUT I BELEIVE IS A LITTLE BIT MORE DUE TO THE LACK OF READING INSTRUCTIONS. THE SOUND IS VERY GOOD AND MY FAMILY IS VERY PEASED WITH THE NEW SOUND LEVEL WE GOT AT THE MOMENT OF WATCHING MOVIES.

I bought this unit and ran the provided wires through the room and hooked everything up without a flaw. Only purchase I had to make extra was the mounting brackets for the rear speakers. Great sound and great video from the blu-ray player. I started having an error F76 pop up on startup, so I took it in (under warranty) and had a shop look at it to no avail. They said everything was fine, so I took it back home and hooked it up... same error. Has to do with one of the speakers. In the process of righting that wrong... I would still recommend this product, great sound and picture at a great price!

This product was amazing and could not be happier with it. If you have a panasonic TV the Viera Link is worth the purchase just for that. Links your TV and Home Theater very nicely so you can use just your TV remote for use with Home Theater, gets a little getting used to but very simple when you figure it out. Picutre quality is remarkable and looks amazing, sound is awsome and so clear it will astonish you. Easy to set up and for the price you definatly get your moneys worth. Only 2 bad things to say about it which arent even that bad, very little Blu-Rays have come out in 7.1 but alot more are comming out now, and that the wireless option is kinda expensive and hard to find but other than that this Home theater is amazing. And by the way if your a gamer the sound will change your gaming experiance, you can set the surround to Prologic and it uses the 7.1, sounds so good.

Do not buy this item. Center speaker cuts in and out randomly

We have had this product for 2 months, and the center channel only works randomly, and cuts in and out all the time. Do research and you will see many people have the center speaker issue. You will be watching a show, and the center speaker will cut out, then come back in, then cut out again.
iPod console does not work at all, junk! Very Basic unit!

The home theater system was purchased to fill out a big high ceiling space.

We received the equipment and all seemed good until we decided to test the iPod. In fact we tested like 3 different iPods to make sure it was not them and not the home theater. None of the MP3 players worked on the Samsung system, the home theater would not display mp3 capabilities as if it is not programmed at all. Our neighbors have a similar Samsung, not the same, home theater system and we borrowed the docking station to isolate the problem still the system would not recognize iPods.

If you buy one of this home theater systems test right away the Samsung docking station, ours turned out to be DOA. Another thing, the bass souns very fake and cardboardish, terrible, seems as if it was stufed with foam and a small speaker. The fact that the woofer is exposed outside on the boom box makes it very easy to damage not like others which it is consealed. Samsung did not even placed a grill to protect it, very cheap design. Its like buying car stereo speakers and they do not include the speaker covers.

Used it a few times. Installed it in a large RV because of it's size and features. The positive reviews are what sold me on it. The sound is very good. The subwoofer is a little large for a RV so we made it into a table. Connected it to a 24" Samsung 1080p TV/monitor for a excellent entertainment system. I had a 32" Samsung TV back 15 years ago was junk, so I was leary. This quality has resold me on Samsung. You must do reading and tuning it in to your environment for optimal performance. Yes buy it and not a reg. DVD because BluRays will outdate the older technology.

I purchased this unit last week from Best Buy. My family room isn't huge and I wanted something that wouldn't overwhelm the house. I didn't even hook it to my plasma before I realized the ipod feature was defective. After much testing with the BB geeks, they never got it working. They tested my ipod and some newer ipods with 2 other 1250's and they didn't work. The manager told me that I'm not the first with this problem. I did play the radio and some cds, not overly impressed with the sound quality. If you like this unit don't pay over $350 for it.

Over all I have found this system to produce excellent sound for no bigger then the speakers are. I did have some difficulty with getting the system to integrate between my Samsung LCD and our satellite system. However, after a call to Samsung tech support the problem was resolved by an extremely helpful and pleasant tech person.

There are two features, or should I say lack of features, that I would have liked to have seen included with this product. I suppose this was an oversight on my part in reading the product description, or perhaps maybe a lack of details in the description. Either way here are my two cons:

The first being the satellite speakers are hard wired and NOT wireless. Yes, they can be made to be wireless for an added expense, but out of the box they are not. I guess I misread the product description.
The second it the systems lack of "out of the box" internet or WI-FI ready. Again, I thought this was part of the system. Only to find out that this too was an optional ($70) added expense.

If not for these two "cons" I would have given the system a 5 stars rating.
